Notice is an iPhone app for photographing broken sidewalks, curbs, potholes and other street defects. Every report is checked and verified, building a dated record of where the city's streets need repair.

For New Yorkers

Spot a defect, take two photos, and submit. Approved reports earn small rewards and help document problems the city needs to fix.

For law firms

Firms can purchase one-time access to the verified reports within a specific map area, with photos, location and timestamps, for use as evidence.

How it works

  1. A user photographs a defect: one close-up, one wide view.
  2. The report is tagged with its location and time, then verified.
  3. Approved reports are added to the record.
